Exercise


Most people simply don't exercise enough and this, combined with poor diet, are the main reasons for excessive and growing obesity rates in our society.

Exercising not only helps your body to burn fat and build muscles, it is also invaluable in helping your body metabolise and excrete toxins. Sedentary lifestyles lead to a build up of toxins in the body!

It's important to have goals in your exercising regime. Your minimum goal should be: aerobic exercise, a minimum of three times a week, each session being a minimum of 30 minutes. Your heart rate is a convenient measure of the intensity of your training regime, and, assuming no medical complications, you should try to ensure that your heart rate is raised to around 60-85% of your maximum heart rate for at least 20 minutes during each session.

Many people are not sufficiently disciplined to exercise on their own - finding that membership at their local gym provides the necessary structure and motivation for improving - and measuring - physical fitness. When you join the gym, you will have your fitness level assessed and a personalised training regime mapped out. Then all you need to do is stick to it!
